Health Equity
IHPI members’ health equity research efforts address inequities at the community, health system, state, and national levels to help inform policy and practice and improve the health of individuals from historically marginalized groups.
The Institute dedicates resources to catalyze and facilitate broader health equity research efforts. Workgroups dedicated to health equity research and led by IHPI members are working to find solutions to challenges such as healthcare workforce diversity, equitable care delivery, and supporting early career clinicians and scientists.
The Institute continues to broaden support of research efforts that include intersectional topics and populations under the umbrella of health equity research to help impact equity both within U-M and beyond.
To get involved, contact Emma Steppe.
