U-M Centers and Programs Working to Address the Most Pressing Child Health Issues
Several centers and programs at U-M are bringing together faculty from multiple pediatric subspecialty disciplines, and a range of departments from the school of medicine and across campus, to address child and adolescent health issues.
The Susan B. Meister Child Health Evaluation and Research (CHEAR) Center at the University of Michigan is one of the largest health services research centers in the U.S. advancing the health and well-being of all children, adolescents, and families through research and education.
The Program for Equity in Adolescent & Child Health (PEACH) program takes an interdisciplinary, data-driven approach to identify inequities in pediatric care and the interventions that should be in place to address the inequities that exist.
The Michigan Child Health Equity Collaborative (Mi-CHEC) brings together the three largest pediatric hospitals in Michigan to identify potential inequities, research inequities that may be common to all three health systems, address any inequities identified through quality improvement interventions, and evaluate the impact of our interventions.
