Dr. Springer's research area of interest is in reducing health disparities among racial and ethnic minorities. Specifically, she aims to reduce disparities in stroke treatment rates and stroke preparedness between African-Americans and non-Hispanic Whites by educating medically underserved communities about the importance of controlling stroke risk factors and activating EMS after recognizing stroke symptoms.
