Dr Finks’ research focus is on collaborative quality improvement and clinical outcomes of bariatric surgery. He is co-director of the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative (MBSC), a regional, voluntary consortium of hospitals and surgeons that perform bariatric (weight loss) surgery in Michigan. The goal of the project is to improve the quality of care for patients undergoing bariatric surgery. Dr. Finks is also the founder of Doctors of Tomorrow, a program that helps ninth grade students in underserved areas gain exposure to careers in healthcare fields.
