Dr. Henderson’s research interests include applying statistics and data science to understand the efficacy and value of healthcare services using electronic health records and administrative datasets. His research interests also include evaluating policies and quality improvement efforts through a value lens. He has measured and modeled trends and patterns of utilization of low-value health care services – including comparisons between the U.S. and Canada – and has rigorously assessed several quality improvement efforts focused on value through his role with the Michigan Program on Value Enhancement.
