Dr. Abou researches evidence-based practice and functional rehabilitation of people with neurologic diseases such as spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and Parkinson's disease. His research concentrates on interdisciplinary behavioral and task-oriented approaches to adjust motor control, manage symptoms, and reduce the incidence of unexpected falls. His ultimate research goal is to enhance community participation and maximize the quality of life of people after neurologic diseases.
