Improving individual and societal cognitive impairments through research and service.
The center conducts interdisciplinary research and training that aims to optimize brain health in order to protect and improve the health and well-being of individuals. The center focuses on:
Evaluating the risk factors for dementia and vascular cognitive impairment, such as stroke and hypertension.
Understanding and reducing disparities in brain health, including stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, and vascular cognitive impairment.
Training the next generation of outcomes researchers in brain health by mentoring junior faculty and trainees to become future leaders in cognitive health services research.
Improving the care and quality of life for people with dementia and other cognitive disabilities and their loved ones.
