IHPI members, Mark Ilgen, professor of psychiatry, and Lindsey Herrel, assistant professor of urology, received major NIH grants to study health services issues.
As reported by the U-M Office of Research (UMOR), Mark Ilgen, Ph.D., professor of psychiatry and Lindsey Herrel, M.D., M.S., assistant professor of urology, were among the top 20 recipients of new grants and contracts during July 2019. Ilgen received a $3.3 million HHS-NIH grant to study facilitating the use of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline in alcohol patients. Herrel received a $1.2 million grant also from HHS-NIH to study the effects of the oncology care model on cancer for dual eligible patients.
