IHPI announces 2023 policy sprint open call theme; call for proposals will open in April
IHPI is pleased to announce a partnership with the Rogel Cancer Center to offer a 2023 Policy Sprint open call with the theme “The Cancer Continuum.”
IHPI launched Policy Sprints in 2018 to provide policymakers and stakeholders with timely and rigorous evidence to inform health policy or practice at the local, state, national, or global levels. In 2023, IHPI and the Rogel Cancer Center will seek proposals for Policy Sprint projects that aim to inform and improve aspects of the cancer continuum, including prevention and early detection policy, delivery of care, access, equity, safety, affordability, family support, and many other policies.
The open call for proposals is expected to launch in April 2023, with projects launching in June 2023. IHPI and Rogel Cancer Center members will receive more information and the application when the open call launches.
Policy Sprint teams can apply for up to $10,000 in funding. Selected Policy Sprint teams will undertake rapid analyses to address important health policy or practice questions, produce an IHPI Policy Brief that distills the key takeaways and resulting policy considerations, and engage directly with policymakers and other relevant stakeholders. Teams will receive support and mentoring from IHPI Policy Engagement and Communications staff. Sprints are expected to be completed within six months of launch.
Teams applying for this opportunity must include at least one IHPI member and at least one Rogel Cancer Center member (this person can be one in the same). The project lead (or leads) must be an IHPI member.
