Dr. Haymart's primary research focus is on cancer care delivery and on improving the quality of cancer care. This includes research on cancer diagnosis, management, and survivorship as well as cancer care decision-making and provider-patient communication. Much of her work has focused on thyroid cancer, a cancer that remains understudied and disproportionately affects women. Haymart serves as the Assistant Director of Data Solutions for AI & Digital Health Innovation and is co-Director of Patients First Innovation Initiative at Michigan Medicine.
