ThyCARE team receives innovation award from American Association of Endocrinology
The award is presented in recognition of outstanding research
The University of Michigan ThyCARE team, led by Megan Haymart, M.D., received the inaugural Endocrine Care Innovation Award at the American Association of Endocrinology (AACE) annual meeting. The team includes Maria Papaleontiou, M.D, Debbie Chen, M.D., Mousumi Banerjee, Ph.D., M.S., Sarah Hawley, Ph.D., M.P.H., Lauren Wallner, Ph.D., M.P.H., Archana Radhakrishnan, M.D., M.H.S., and Susan Pitt, M.D., M.P.H.S., and they focus on addressing thyroid health and improving patient care. They drive research in thyroid health services and thyroid clinical trials and have experience working with large cancer registries, performing survey studies and other population-based studies, and designing and implementing interventions.
The award is given in recognition of an outstanding body of work in the previous five years by an individual or team focused on clinical outcomes and/or healthcare delivery platforms.
