Dr. James' research focuses on teaching clinicians to use artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML)-based technologies in their clinical reasoning to augment medical decision making. He works with an interdisciplinary team to develop curricula and educational programming designed to prepare clinicians for impact of AI/ML on healthcare.
