A team from the University of Michigan School of Medicine investigated the question: Were some patients with prediabetes more likely or less likely to gain from intensive lifestyle changes or from metformin?
“Simply having prediabetes is not everything,” study researcher Jeremy Sussman, MD, MS, an assistant professor of general medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School and a research scientist at the VA Center for Clinical Management Research, said in a press release.
