Dr. Tate’s research focuses on psychological adaptation after injury and measuring health and quality of life outcomes. Her areas of focus include spinal cord injury and adjustment, aging, women with disabilities, depression, measurement, post-polio syndrome, and community participation. Her research includes a large study examining the effects of bowel and bladder complications on quality of life after spinal cord injury.
