Evaluating healthcare policy and implementing innovative, large-scale quality improvement interventions.
The Center for Healthcare Outcomes & Policy (CHOP) aims to improve the efficiency of healthcare in the United States, by optimizing clinical practice and informing health policy. Based at the new North Campus Research Complex, CHOP is a consortium of over 100 faculty and staff, including clinician scientists, economists, biostatisticians, epidemiologists and other social scientists from the U-M Medical School and School of Public Health.
The Center is focused on health services research in acute and specialty care. Our scientists aim to evaluate healthcare policy and launch innovative large-scale quality improvement interventions. CHOP also plays a large role in the education of the next generation of health services researchers.
