ThyCARE team receives innovation award from American Association of Endocrinology
The University of Michigan ThyCARE team, led by Megan Haymart, M.D., professor of internal medicine, received the inaugural Endocrine Care Innovation Award at the American Association of Endocrinology in recognition of their outstanding body of work and research. READ MORE
Kullgren, Markovitz, and Tipirneni recognized with special achievement awards at the Society of General Internal Medicine Annual Meeting
At the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM)'s Annual Meeting in May, several IHPI members were recognized for their research and mentorship. Renu Tipirneni, M.D., M.Sc., associate professor of internal medicine, received the Mid-Career Research Mentorship Award in recognition of her dedication to guiding junior investigators through the intricacies of research and academic growth within general medicine. Jeff Kullgren, M.D., M.P.H., M.S., associate professor of internal medicine, received SGIM's Best Published Research Paper of the Year Award, while Adam Markovitz, M.D., Ph.D., assistant professor of internal medicine, received a Milton W. Hamolsky Award for having one of the three best research presentations by a junior faculty member at the annual meeting.
Regents approve faculty promotions
The U-M Board of Regents approved promotion recommendations on May 15 for regular associate professor and full professor ranks. Several IHPI members were among those who received promotions. READ MORE
