Translating knowledge into informed policy recommendations for prevention and treatment of substance use disorders.
The Michigan Public Health - Substance Use Policy and Economic Research (M-SUPER) Network was launched in 2020 as a response to the urgent need for research evidence to inform public health decision-making to curb the escalation of drug overdose deaths following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The network is an interdisciplinary, interinstitutional consortium of faculty, investigators, and students and leverages access to multiple large databases to address pressing substance use policy knowledge gaps.
