Dr. Crissman is an obstetrician-gynecologist and complex family planning subspecialist whose clinical and research interests focus on advancing equitable, high-quality gender-affirming, contraceptive and abortion care. Her work emphasizes health disparities, care delivery and patient-centered outcomes.
At Planned Parenthood of Michigan, Dr. Crissman established a statewide gender-affirming care program in 2022 that has since provided hormone therapy to thousands of transgender and gender-diverse patients across Michigan. Her work integrates clinical practice, education, community engagement, health policy and advocacy.
