Dr. Ajrouch's research uses a multi-method and interdisciplinary approach to investigate social and behavioral elements of ADRD. As a sociologist and gerontologist, she examines health outcomes and disparities over the life course, dedicated to understanding variation within and between groups. Dr. Ajrouch attends to culture as a key context in which to better understand the link between social inequalities and health. Her research aims to provide insights as to how and when social networks help or hinder health and well-being among older adults.
