The Michigan Program on Value Enhancement, or MPrOVE, is working to close the gap between what research shows about how to achieve value in healthcare, and what actually happens in clinical practice.
Value in Healthcare
Achieving value in healthcare means far more than controlling costs to individuals and health systems. It also means ensuring that people receive the medical tests, procedures, and treatments that they need to improve their health - but not services that are unnecessary, nor those whose potential harms or costs outweigh the likely benefits. By determining how to deliver the highest quality healthcare at the lowest possible cost, our experts are working toward this broad aim of realizing high-value care throughout our healthcare system.
