Dr. Pleasant is an implementation scientist who conducts research in the area of breast cancer risk assessment with the goal of addressing racial health disparities impacting Black women. It is hoped that this model be elevated to a national level to impact policy and improve risk assessment for all women undergoing breast cancer screening.
