Dr. Rao's research interests include hemodialysis, outcomes studies in dialysis patients and kidney transplantation, with a focus on donor risk index and transplant benefit, and patients with progressive kidney failure. Another area of his research interest is Lupus Nephritis, with focus on predictors of renal outcome based on gene expression profile in kidney biopsy.
