Dr. Solberg's research focuses on how adverse social contexts, such as ACEs and minority stress, influence substance use and health behaviors in sexual and gender minority (SGM) communities. He aims to develop tailored interventions that address the negative effects of adversity, improve health outcomes, and reduce disparities within this population. Looking ahead, Dr. Solberg is interested in incorporating policy solutions into his research to create broader systemic changes that support SGM individuals and address these health disparities.
