Dr. Severe is a clinician, educator, researcher, leader and community advocate with an expertise in rural, urban and global mental health. Her research and policy interests include equitable and timely access to evidence-based mental health care through models of integrated care with primary care clinics, health technology interventions and seminars on Cross-cultural Psychiatry. She currently serves as a consulting psychiatrist at the Michigan Medicine Depression and Bipolar Disorder Clinics and as the Assistant Clerkship Director of Medical Education for Psychiatry. She is also a Visiting Faculty for the Nursing Haitian Foundation in collaboration with the University of Michigan School of Nursing.
