Dr. Brewer uses human-centered and community-based approaches to study how technology can support the social well-being needs of older adults and people with disabilities. In one thread of her work, she focuses on designing and developing systems for people who face difficulties accessing screen-based technologies (e.g., computers, mobile devices).
