In addition to her U-M appointment, Dr. Sripada is a Research Scientist in the VA Center for Clinical Management Research and an Attending Clinical Psychologist at the Lieutenant Colonel Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a practicing clinical psychologist with 15 years of experience delivering evidence-based psychotherapy to Veterans and civilians with PTSD. Dr. Sripada leads a research program to adapt and implement evidence-based PTSD treatment across a variety of practice settings, including community health centers, employee assistance programs, primary care clinics, and VA medical centers. The overarching goals of her research program are to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of evidence-based psychotherapy and to improve training and support for therapists providing these treatments. Her current projects optimize psychotherapy delivery using Sequential, Multiple Assignment, Randomized Trials (SMART) and other optimization trial designs. She also conducts system-wide VA analyses to elucidate disparities in access to PTSD care, variations in quality of PTSD care, and factors associated with PTSD treatment response. She is currently conducting three clinical trials (two NIMH R01s and one VA HSR Merit) to adapt and optimize evidence-based PTSD treatments for different settings and patient populations.
