Dr. Munro-Kramer is a family nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife whose program of research focuses on gender-based violence prevention and response, primarily among college-age youth, within domestic and international contexts. She is interested in leveraging nurses' creativity to develop innovative solutions to complex health and human rights issues such as intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking. She currently leads the Sub-Saharan Africa University Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response (SUBVERT) Network that explores interventions and policy changes to address gender-based violence at universities in Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
