Dr. Minhas's research interests are in improving patient comprehension of doctor-patient communication, and assessing individual patient functional goals to guide shared treatment decisions. She is also interested in improving patient decisions about medication adherence, compliance to therapies, and behavioral risk factor modification with behavioral economics interventions and goal-based treatment plans. She has done work examining lupus, cost-related medication adherence, and their public health impacts.
