Dr. Miller’s research fields are public economics and health economics, and her primary research interest is in investigating the role of public policies in the provision of and access to healthcare, particularly by low-income populations, and the effects these policies may have on health and well-being. The insurance value (in terms of improved financial security) of public health insurance programs is of particular interest.
