Dr. DeJonckheere has expertise in qualitative, mixed methods, and community-based participatory research approaches in health services research. She is Co-Director of the Mixed Methods Program at U-M. Her research focuses on understanding the thoughts and behaviors that influence adolescent health, particularly among teens with chronic conditions. She also is Program Director of MYHealth, a virtual research training program for high school students in Southeast Michigan. She is interested in expanding research opportunities for adolescents and young adults from groups historically marginalized in or excluded from research. Additionally, she serves on IHPI's Early Career Faculty Advisory Council (FAC).
