Dr. O’Neill (she/her/hers) studies environmental conditions (including air pollution and extreme weather) and health with a focus on health equity. She uses epidemiology methods and community-based participatory research approaches and collaborates with colleagues in Latin America and the United States. Prior to her academic career, she worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Pan American Health Organization, and in Mexico at the National Institute of Public Health and the National Center for Environmental Health as a Fulbright Scholar.
