Dr. Lester's research interest is in the application of pharmacy informatics to improve medication use and safety. He uses systems engineering principles and theory to guide his research. Dr. Lester's previous work studied the reasons that medication errors occur in pharmacies by analyzing medication error reports using natural language processing.
