Dr. Sheetz's goal is to make surgical health services research more translational. His research focuses on the adoption and effectiveness of new surgical technologies and procedures, policy evaluation, and collaborative quality improvement in transplantation. He has an interest in natural experiments and applying techniques from econometrics to better understand which interventions help patients the most.
