Dr. Gronlund's research focuses on how social and environmental characteristics influence health vulnerability to temperature, precipitation, and pollen using a community-engaged approach. She uses primary survey data as well as large administrative data sets to understand inequities in climate-related health effects nationally and in the Upper Midwest, a region with particular infrastructure vulnerability to climate and climate change.
