Dr. Hutchinson is a dual board-certified family and addiction medicine physician whose clinical focus is care for marginalized populations, with a particular emphasis on individuals with substance use disorder and exposure to the carceral system. In her roles in the Department of Family Medicine, OPEN, and Packard Health (a federally qualified health center), she leverages community-academic partnerships to develop and evaluate innovative care delivery models that increase access to rapid, high-quality care for substance use disorder and effectively engage individuals releasing from incarceration. As an educator, she incorporates health professions learners into clinical care, program building, and advocacy efforts with community partners.
