Dr. Kahle is an infectious disease epidemiologist with a program of research focusing on biological, interpersonal, and structural factors that impact sexual and reproductive health (SRH) among vulnerable and marginalized populations, both domestically and globally. Her research efforts include understanding the role of social determinants on SRH, barriers to accessing prevention and healthcare, and developing effective strategies to reduce adverse SRH outcomes. Dr. Kahle has extensive public health and clinical research expertise that informs her interest in how the intersection between environment, behavior, and biology impacts health. She has a specific research concentration in HIV prevention, including the design and integrated of behavior and biomedical interventions for reducing HIV transmissions.
