Dr. Sonnenday's primary academic and research interests include the study of frailty and sarcopenia in liver transplant candidates, disparities in the utilization of liver transplantation and surgical care, novel methods of patient selection in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery, and the creation of a quality collaborative in liver transplantation.
