Dr. Shuman is an implementation scientist and health services researcher focused on improving healthcare quality, safety, and outcomes and reducing health disparities. Dr. Shuman’s research investigates factors associated with implementation and sustainability of best practices within healthcare environments to improve outcomes for healthcare organizations, and he has a particular interest in developing nursing workforce evidence-based practice competencies.
