A culturally tailored intervention could improve understanding of depression and antidepressant use and improve clinical outcomes in this population. Depression is a leading cause of disability, morbidity and death. It is a common comorbid condition that if untreated negatively impacts physical health and makes chronic diseases more difficult to manage.
