Dr. Iott's research studies how information technologies are used to facilitate the integration of health and social care. He uses quantitative and qualitative approaches to examine how clinicians use information about social determinants of health to address patients' social needs and adjust medical care. The goal of his research is to translate findings into the development of polices, programs, and technologies which improve health outcomes and reduce health disparities by addressing social needs and adapting clinical care.
