Dr. Sarma’s health services research interests include the epidemiology, natural history and racial disparity in clinical manifestations of prostate gland enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia) including lower urinary tract dysfunction. Additionally, she focuses on the examination of the impact of metabolic dysfunction in both the development and progression of these diseases, specifically urologic complications of diabetes.
