Dr. Ehlers is interested in understanding how patients and providers make decisions regarding elective surgery, with the goal of helping tailor treatments to best fit patient needs and improve patient experience and outcomes. She is also interested in studying access to bariatric surgery and outcomes following elective hernia surgery.
