Dr. Edelman's research work has focused on optimizing perioperative care, reducing unnecessary preoperative testing, improving opioid stewardship, and implementing evidence-based practices across various healthcare settings.
In his role within the Anesthesiology Performance Improvement & Reporting Exchange (ASPIRE) he looks to drive quality improvement across the state of Michigan and the country. Within Michigan Medicine he is the University Hospital's Operating Room Anesthesiology Medical Director and Associate Chair for Adult Anesthesiology with a focus on operations and quality.
