Dr. Abou-Arab's health services research centers on understanding the intersections of health and health care disparities. His clinical and research interests include health for gender and sexual minorities, gender-affirming hormone care, immigrant health, and the health of Arab Americans. He speaks Arabic and Spanish, which helps him connect to and advocate for many marginalized communities. His work also examines health care disparities among Arab Americans based on citizenship status.
