Addressing the impacts of dementia on the health and financial well-being of individuals and the population.
The Center to Accelerate Population Research in Alzheimer’s (CAPRA) is a federally funded P30 research center based at the University of Michigan. The societal impact of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) is large in scope. CAPRA leverages its expertise and highly collaborative nature to stimulate multidisciplinary studies and research resources that will improve outcomes for growing populations with or at risk of ADRD.
The center houses a pilot program that supports a wide variety of disciplines and projects aimed at reducing the health and financial burden of dementia.
