Mousumi Banerjee, Ph.D., research professor of Biostatistics in the School of Public Health, director of biostatistics, Center for Healthcare Outcomes and Policy (CHOP), and a member of the Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation (IHPI), has won the 2015 Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation of Michigan McDevitt Excellence in Research Award in the area of health policy research.
Banerjee's award recognizes her research entitled "Tree-Based Model for Thyroid Cancer Prognostication," published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine Megan Haymart, M.D., also an IHPI member, is a key author on the paper as well.
