U-M researchers and local policymakers join together for 2017 CHRT Policy Fellowship
Six University of Michigan health services researchers have joined seven Lansing policymakers as members of the Center for Healthcare Research & Transformation (CHRT) Policy Fellowship at the University of Michigan. Together, the thirteen fellows form the CHRT Policy Fellowship's 2017 class, which is now in its sixth year.
The U-M researchers are:
- Hari Nathan, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Surgery, U-M Medical School
- Okeoma Mmeje, M.D., Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology, U-M Medical School
- Carolyn Swenson, M.D., Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology, U-M Medical School
- Amy Suwanabol, M.D., Assistant Professor of Surgery, U-M Medical School
- Blake Lancaster, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases, U-M Medical School
- Rogério Pinto, LCSW, Ph.D, Associate Professor of Social Work, U-M School of Social Work

The fellowship program builds connections between health services research and policy for more effective, evidence-based health policy decisions. Since 2012, CHRT has brought policymakers and researchers together to learn from a broad range of health policy leaders and subject matter experts, and from each other.
