Sarah Krein, research professor of internal medicine, and Valerie Vaughn, assistant professor of internal medicine, received awards from the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.
Sarah Krein, Ph.D., R.N., research professor of internal medicine, was honored with the 2019 Distinguished Scientist Award from the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). The honor recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to the science of infection prevention and control. Valerie Vaughn, M.D., M.Sc., assistant professor of internal medicine, received the Heroes of Implementation Research Scholar Award from APIC. The award is given to create bridges between infection preventionists and professionals in other clinical disciplines.
