This informal symposium will bring together researchers from the University of Michigan and the Israel Telemedicine Community as they share ideas on optimizing the delivery of telehealth. While the two countries are different, both face similar challenges with the rapid, widespread expansion of telehealth/digital health over the past several years. The symposium will include short presentations from researchers from both countries, with time for discussion after each presentation.
IHPI Presentations will include:
- John Piette, M.D., M.S. -- “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Telemedicine: Improving Chronic Pain Care”
- Jennifer Severe, M.D. -- “Factors Influencing Patients' Initial Decisions Regarding Telepsychiatry Participation During the COVID-19 Pandemic”
- Gergana Kodjebacheva, Ph.D., M.A.-- “Telehealth in pediatric care during the COVID-19 pandemic: parental perspectives”
The event will be moderated by Chad Ellimoottil, MD, MS, Director, IHPI Telehealth Research and Innovation and researchers from Israel.
