IHPI’s Policy Engagement & External Relations team assists IHPI members who seek to have a greater impact on health policy and practice through their research. We offer members advice, strategies, and tools around policy engagement. Specifically, we can help you to:

Connect with policymakers, associations, professional societies, insurers, and other stakeholders

Policy Sprints
Apply for IHPI funding to undertake rapid analyses to address an important health policy question and produce a product that contributes to policy conversations and informs decision-making at the local, state, or national level. IHPI Policy Engagement and Communications staff help crystallize key study takeaways and policy implications, develop policy-relevant products, and create targeted dissemination plans.

Impact Accelerator Program: Policy and Communications Training
This annual training program is designed to prepare IHPI members to understand today’s policy and communications landscape and translate research findings for greater impact. Offered annually in May and applications are required.
Policy Impact Award
This annual award is given to select IHPI members to recognize their contributions and impacts on health policy or practice at the local, state, national, or international level.
